It was a while since new features were added to xScape Theme Framowrk. But, that will soon change with upcoming 1.8.3 version. Several themes will get bug fixing releases. And, as previously announced, two new themes are in development.
Themes Xposed, R8 and airScape will get new versions fixing few bugs reported in the forums and found during use on my own websites. As for the framework, several bugs will be fixed, and following new features and improvements will be included:
- JavaScript library used for display of Google Maps will be replaced to improve user experiences with support for GMaps v3.
- Additional content elements will be added into the footer customization area.
- GD Products Center support in the menu designer for product archives.
- Favicon will be added to Login page.
- Scrollable module will have extra control for adding it to more pages.
- User roles settings for the schortcodes.
- Quick use shortcodes for roles only
Several topics from forums will be taken into account for this version. If you have some suggestions about minor changes that could be added to this version. It is expected to get new xScape Theme Framework early next week.

Thanks for reminding us of your continued commitment to xScape. I’m looking forward to the fixes and changes and also the new themes. I hope you have a portfolio/business style theme in the pipeline.
Longer term I would like to see some xScape options to style navigation menus. At the moment this is quite boring with just one way of styling a menu per theme. I know I can always hack something with changes to css or javascript but remember that one of the reasons I use xScape (and perhaps others do aswell) is that I can tailor/customise many things without having to delve into the code.
So long xScape continues to grow and evolve over time – I know I will be a happy xScape customer.

I plan to add more menu options in the future, but I am still unable to find some good drop down library for them that can be styled, once I do that, I will include it.
