It’s very hard to anticipate everything that you might need to make customization of theme or a framework easier. xScape framework and all themes based on it include wide range of ways to customize them, but if you need something more, solution is simple: ask for it.
With all things announced for next WordPress, and plans I already have for xScape, it’s time to make some concrete plans for next major revision of xScape 1.6. It will take some time, most likely next 4-5 months before 1.6 is released, but there will be several minor revisions along the way.
Previously announced theme called FrameFX is close to completion, and the beta is expected during this week, and as usual will be available for testing on xScape.info. Several templates are still unfinished, but main focus is in creating special effects for blocks and layouts.
Good news. Core for GD Star Rating 2.o is done (more or less). Next step now will be to add rating types classes, make administration interface and implement everything for the front-end. Here you will find more info about how the new plugin will be organized and some other core stuff.
New theme is in development. It will be called FrameFX, and the basic visuals are already done. If everything goes OK, it will be released in about one month. Also, this is the first theme not to have Scape in the name, even so it will be powered by the xScape framework.
This was a very busy year for me, and because of that, one plugin development suffered. New GD Star Rating 2.0 is in development for some 7-8 months, and almost no development has been done on it. But, now that’s no longer the case, and GDSR2 is getting new code.
First minor revision of my mod version of Headspace2 plugin under new name gdHeadSpace4 is released fixing several more issues caused by tags integration code I missed first time around. Right now plugin looks very stable, but more changes are coming soon.
