Adding extra styling and styles for themes
xScape themes due to complexity of the framework can’t support child themes. This is the case with most themes that are framework based. But, there are several way to add your own styles without loosing the base theme due to some advanced features xScape framework has to offer.

xScape Layouts Manager allows much more flexibility in controlling and using templates with xScape themes. Custom templates allows separating content for any template and still retain use of layout manager and easy assigning of the custom content templates to any actual template.
Website screenshots as images for posts
WordPress.org offers interesting and not officially documented feature allowing you to get screenshots from any URL. There are not many options available, but for most things it will work just fine and save you a lot of time to make such sreenshots yourself. So, here is how to use it with xScape theme.
Images with posts and in settings
xScape allows you to upload images use WordPress Media Manager, use external images or download image from external URL. All images are resized and cached as needed by the framework. This tutorial has more info on what’s the best practice.
Setting and using Theme Upgrade

Upgrade backup of changed files
xScape 1.4.5 adds new feature allowing backup of changed and added files. Dev4Press Updater will trigger backup before upgrading to new version. Setting files for backup is really simple and will be shown in the next video tutorial. But, what to set for backup?
