How to display thumbnail images in topic list page?

I just installed this wonderful plug in and I’m trying to figure out if I can display thumbnail images to the topic list pages.
I want to make the forum look like photo gallery that all logged in users can upload photos to the forum. So I only want to display images and topic titles in the topic list page.
But right now the images don’t show in topic list page and they only display in each topic’s detail pages.
So is it possible to display thumbnail images to the topic list pages?

Images are stored in the media library and linked to each topic/reply. You can build the function to do it from standard WP functions.

Ok Thanks for reply. I sort of figured it out.
I have one more question about it.
How can I make this attachment as required?
I want to force users to attach images to post topics since I’m building gallery forum.
I don’t want anybody to post topics without attaching images.
So how can I make attachment as a required field?

Could you please share how you achieved that? A client wants the same capability, I just can’t seem to figure it out.
