Functions used to get lists of results for widgets and other results rendering have wide array of parameters. But, considering the number of elements you can actually use for this, these functions are not all powerful. But, they can be, because they support expanding.
By default, WordPress allows some limited post filtering options using taxonomies. If you have many taxonomies and you need to filter posts taking into account several taxonomies, and to filter by more than one term, well, there is no direct way to that with WP only.
GD Press Tools tracks number of views for posts and pages, and also tracks users activities for posts and pages. Data is gathered on a daily basis. Here are two functions you can use to get totals of views per post and also views data for each user and post.
