New minor revision is here with few new features and several bugs fixed. New features are debugger tools to display WordPress or system created error logs. Front status page is expanded with few new PHP related settings. And several bugs are fixed in this release.

GD Press Tools 4.2 brings new backup system based on tasks that allows you much more flexibility. Simplest way to backup website is using Quick Backup, but you can create much more complex and detailed backup tasks that can be run anytime or scheduled to repeat.

Backup in GD Press Tools 4 is very powerful, but, it has some limitations and restrictions that are mostly caused by the way the backup is meant to be used and the way WordPress is organized. So, here is more info in how actually GD Press Tools is creating backups for both database and files.
Using GD Press Tools 4 Backup
GD Press Tools 4.0 brings improved backup that includes backup for database and for files. You can select full backup or partial tasks only, upload archives to Dropbox, Amazon S3, Rackspace Cloud, Google Storage or any FTP. Scheduled backups are also supported.
Using new backup panel
GD Press Tools 3.8 adds a new panel for backup of the WordPress. Right now, only database backup is supported, backup of files will be added with next major version. New backup supports multiple tasks, scheduler and uploading archives to CDN, with Rackspace only one supported now.
