Comments OffMore changes are in for another Beta version of GD Press Tools Pro 4.2. New Beta #3 brings many fixes to backup module (email sending, tasks editor, process log), cron scheduler and XML sitemaps generator, and also adds brand new module for Sucuri Free Security Scan
It’s very close now. Another batch of bugs is fixed in this version, bringing 4.2 release one step closer. This version includes many cosmetic fixes, few real bugs and few more PHP warnings. Most important fix is the site level backup in the multisite/network environments.
Previous tutorials on layout in xScape explained the structure of the layouts, how the templates are loaded and now is the time to see how to change default templates. There are two methods to do this and both have own uses, so what you decide on using, it depends on what you need done.
Backup in GD Press Tools 4 is very powerful, but, it has some limitations and restrictions that are mostly caused by the way the backup is meant to be used and the way WordPress is organized. So, here is more info in how actually GD Press Tools is creating backups for both database and files.
Ultimate administration plugin GD Press Tools Pro will soon get new major release. GD Press Tools Pro 4.0 will get new interface, many new features and tools, updated existing features, full support for multisite/network WordPress mode… Here is an overview of this upcoming release.
xScape 1.4.5 adds new feature allowing backup of changed and added files. Dev4Press Updater will trigger backup before upgrading to new version. Setting files for backup is really simple and will be shown in the next video tutorial. But, what to set for backup?
