As announced previously, xScape will soon get built-in support for bbPress plugin, and this 1.6.5 version of the framework is a one step closer to that, making changes that are needed to handle this discussion forum plugin. As always, there are couple of new features and minor changes.
Development of major 3.0 version of GD Custom Posts And Taxonomies Tools Pro is under way, and the first round of changes is now available as an Alpha/Nightly build. With current added changes, plugin is stable, but still, don’t use it on production websites, it’s for testing only.
GlotPress is great open source project built with WordPress base code for collaborative translation of software. Project is far from completed, but it’s stable and usable enough now, so I decided to install it and use for centralized translation of all Dev4Press plugins and themes. Both Lite and Pro editions are here with more changes for next major release: WordPress 3.1. Registering of custom post types was acting very strange in current development versions of WP 3.1, causing a lot of problems, so the whole procedure is revised in the plugin for new way of using capabilities.
Both versions of the plugin are updated and few more custom post types related features and functions are added. To Pro edition another new feature is added allowing you to display custom taxonomies as columns on edit grids for all post types similar to categories and tags.
Even though WP 3.0 few weeks away from release, current development versions after Beta 1 are proven to be very stable. So I decided to upgrade Dev4Press to WP 3.0 and take advantage of some of the new features this latest WordPress has to offer.
WordPress 3.0 is updated daily, and current development is changing things non stop. Since the previous versions of plugin from last week, things have changed again, and again in WP breaking the plugin. So, here are new versions that work with current WP.
