Developers know how to best use debug in WordPress and it’s WP_DEBUG constant to get through potential problems and bugs their code might have. But, for regular users, using debug mode can be a very much confusing and can cause more problems than it can help solve.
GD Press Tools 4.0 adds a new debugger that can be expanded with new panels and set to show all sort of data and info about website execution: logging errors, custom elements, display important WP structures and objects and much more. Video shows how to use it, and after that how to make own panel.
Finally, after few months of development, here is the brand new major version of ultimated WordPress administration plugin: GD Press Tools 4.0 Pro with improved backup, debugger, xml sitemaps generator, file manager, new interface, full support for WordPress 3.1 and multisite/network mode.
New version of framework brings one very important upgrade thanks to the latest version of gdr2 Library 2.2.1, and this feature deals with caching of several key elements of the theme rendering process, in this version with widgets and menus. Widgets are also further improved.
The release of GD Press Tools 4.0 Pro is very close, and here is the first, and hopefully, only Beta version. At this point, all the features are locked, but there are many more planned features that will be added to the roadmap for 4.1 and 4.2 versions. Here is the quick overview of this release.
Last teaser for GD Press Tools 4.0 Pro, before release of Beta 1 version on Monday is for a new/old feature. Old, because it was available in some limited form before, and new because it will have more options and will be much more usable. And this feature is Debugger.
New GD Press Tools 3.0.5 Pro has just been released. It contains few fixes and minor changes, and another new feature that will be Pro edition exclusive. Saving some of the settings was broken, and now fixed and also I improved inclusion of the JavaScript and CSS files in the header and footer.
