Updating Dev4Press website
It’s been a while since the Dev4Press website is redesigned, and it’s time to make some changes. The theme used will remain the same (lightScape), but will get new color scheme and few more visual improvements. Data organization will be changed a lot to rely fully on custom post types.
Install and update xScape based themes
There was a lot of talk before on how to install and update themes, but now, with the release of new Dev4Press Updater 1.5 that can also install themes, here are 2 video tutorials and list of previous posts dealing with the process of installing and updating any of the xScape based themes.
Working with Images
xScape allows you to upload images, use external images or download image from external URL. Also, all images are resized as needed by the framework, and resized images are cached. This tutorial shows how you can do that on the example of the theme logo.
First round of Dev4Press fixes
In the last few days there were several bugs found on Dev4Press. Some of them were minor (that includes styling issues on some pages and some IE incompatibilities), and some were more serious (broken contact form and broken download links).
