A while back, we have introduced a concept of Core themes. In standard WordPress theme, Core theme is a child theme for a main theme called xScape Core. So far, we have 3 Core themes, and all the other old themes will be converted to Core version soon. Future themes will be Core only.
With GD Custom Posts And Taxonomies Tools Pro you can control icons and menu location for custom post types menus. You can select from built in menu icons (100 of them from the Fugue icon set), upload your own and you can control location in the admin side menu.
New GD Custom Posts And Taxonomies Tools Pro with version 3.2 adds custom permalinks support for custom post types. Permalinks can contain date, time, taxonomies, author and post type elements. Setting and using that is very easy, and the video shows how to do it.
For the most part, xScape templates are based on normal WordPress structure. But, to make customization and working with different blocks easier, page layout is broken into smaller elements that can be controlled through Layout Manager for each templates individually.

Only days after major 1.6 version, here is new xScape Theme Framework 1.6.1. Some of the things I wanted improved for 1.6 didn’t make it in time, so I decided to make a quick update only few days later. This is important update that addresses mostly menus related features.
