Review of WordPress 3.2

Brand new WordPress 3.2 is very important release, not so much because of the new features, but because it is a crossroads version that finally puts support for PHP4, mySQL 3/4 and MS IE6 (and IE7 will soon be gone) where they really belong: into history. Check your servers before upgrade!
xScape Templates Layout, Part 2: Header & Footer
As explained in previous tutorial, xScape loads page template using layout settings and assembling blocks. Process is same for all themes with the difference regarding additional blocks that can vary from theme to theme. Framework uses filters and actions to control loading.
xScape Templates Layout, Part 1: Overview

For the most part, xScape templates are based on normal WordPress structure. But, to make customization and working with different blocks easier, page layout is broken into smaller elements that can be controlled through Layout Manager for each templates individually.
New theme released: R8 1.0.0

This is a bit out of the blue, but, here is the brand new theme called R8. Theme features new xScape Theme Framework version 1.6.2 and 8 built-in color schemes and has a third top navigation menu under the header. Also, it uses Nivo slider with even more customization options.
Upcoming Themes in May and June
As I have announced few months ago, theme development on Dev4Press will not be driven by numbers and we will not release as many themes as other developers do. Right now there are several themes in different development stages and 3 of them will be released in the next 2 months.
Theme Focus 1.0.0 is released

Theme number 8, Focus is released. This is first xScape theme to feature new jQuery powered highly customizable Nivo slider. Theme has 14 color styles built in, allows for control panel background control and has different templates for both normal blog or magazine style layouts.

New xScape Theme Framework based theme called Focus is very close to release, and here is a small preview of how the theme is gonna look like. Currently, only one style is available using gold/red colors, but more than 10 styles will be available with built in color style switcher.
