WordPress website can’t work without plugins or themes. Well, you don’t need plugins, but in most cases WordPress alone is not enough. Choosing, downloading and using both themes and plugins may look as a simple task, but with increased popularity of WordPress it’s not anymore.
Over the past 3 months xScape Theme Framework has come a long way and yesterday reached 1.4.0 release. In the same time 4 themes using the xScape are released. But, xScape still has a ways to go and many new things are planned. Here is more on the next development cycle.
First theme and xScape framework are now completed. Second theme is in development, and is expected that another week will be needed to complete it. But, current work will be available before then and many changes are to be expected on Dev4Press before themes became available.
Few days ago our lead designer Vladan has delivered logo for xScape framework and we have agreed on the final design for the first themes, now he is designing the different color schemes and things like that. For now, here is overview of the theme editions that will be available.
For the last few days there is an open discussion on Weblog Tools Collection website about paying for plugins as a trend for 2010. There were a lot of comments and different opinions about the subject, and I will try to go over the subject again.
