You can updated framework only, but for new users it will be easier to get updated themes not to updated them with framework after installation. So, all themes are released with new framework.

xScape 1.5.7.2 features several bug fixes found and fixed after 1.5.7 is released. If you have themes installed already, you can only update framework part. If you use Dev4Press Updater that is very easy, since updater will offer you only framework. If you are new user, or you install any theme fresh, the problematic bug fixed yesterday will cause problems. So, all themes now have latest xScape built in.

I still recomend to everyone to use Dev4Press Updater plugin and stay up to date from WordPress panels and not loose too much time on manually getting updates and applying them.
