There were few bugs in lightScape causing problems with footer widgets, and they are fixed now with 1.0.4 version. Problems were caused due to missing default widgets for front widgets area and with invalid default assignment of sidebars to widget areas.
New xScape is now ready, and all themes are updated with this latest version. Facebook module gt new widget for displaying activity stream, and few things are fixed and improved. Most changes this time are with the latest lightScape theme.
Theme number 4 using the advanced xScape theme framework is just released. It’s called airScape and has simple and clean design, uses no images and allows detailed color customizations for all areas of the theme: content, footer and header.
New eScape theme is completed, and it will be released on Monday evening. And new framework version that will be included in that theme is also now part of photoScape and baseScape. Here is more info on this update, and also other framework and theme news.
Previous week was about making new eScape theme that will be released on Wednesday, and in the same time, many things within the framework were changed and updated and few new things added. And both baseScape and photoScape themes are updated.
I was very busy over the weekend improving the framework, and as a result a lot is changed and many more new features are added or existing improved mostly in menu designer and layouts manager. Both are much more powerful now, allowing some great modifications.
Layouts Manager is powerful tool that will help you control individual WordPress templates, settings for layout elements on each one and sidebars registered in WordPress. This is only first tutorial on the subject, rest of them will be for premium members only.
First theme and xScape framework are now completed. Second theme is in development, and is expected that another week will be needed to complete it. But, current work will be available before then and many changes are to be expected on Dev4Press before themes became available.
