GD Press Tools 4.2 Pro
After several months of development and testing, new major release of GD Press Tools Pro is here. Version 4.2 has a long changelog, but focus in this one is new backup module, new auto tagger module, Sucuri free security scan, many bugs fixed and many improvements to rest of the plugin.
xScape Theme Framework 1.5.7
New xScape is here, and all themes are also updated to add support for new features. New version adds new options for embedding code into header and body of the page, support for attaching images to terms added by latest GD CPT Tools Pro plugins, number of improvements and fixes.
Using GD Custom Posts and Taxonomies Tools
This tutorial shows all plugins panels and options you can use with examples for creating and using custom post types and taxonomies. This is basic introduction video, and more detailed look at some of the options will be in the additional tutorials. Most of the options are only in Pro version of the plugin.
Add products from Amazon using Bookmarklet
To add products from Amazon you can use built in bookmarklet. This bookmarklet allows adding products and creating posts with the selected product. Default and custom post types are supported for this operation. Example is for Amazon.com, but it works of any Amazon and in any browser.
Using new backup panel
GD Press Tools 3.8 adds a new panel for backup of the WordPress. Right now, only database backup is supported, backup of files will be added with next major version. New backup supports multiple tasks, scheduler and uploading archives to CDN, with Rackspace only one supported now.
Upgrade backup of changed files
xScape 1.4.5 adds new feature allowing backup of changed and added files. Dev4Press Updater will trigger backup before upgrading to new version. Setting files for backup is really simple and will be shown in the next video tutorial. But, what to set for backup?
Extend Module: gMap This
gMap This is easy to use module within the xScape Theme Framework that you can use to add Google Maps to your posts. You can set various parameters including adding marker with a note to mark the location you are posting about or you have traveled to.
