Review of WordPress 3.2

Brand new WordPress 3.2 is very important release, not so much because of the new features, but because it is a crossroads version that finally puts support for PHP4, mySQL 3/4 and MS IE6 (and IE7 will soon be gone) where they really belong: into history. Check your servers before upgrade!
xScape Theme Framework 1.7.2
New xScape Theme Framework 1.7.2 adds 2 more widgets (Twitter Follow and Facebook Like Button), many changes to bbPress to support latest plugin version and changes in templates and includes several minor updates to settings, module and layouts handling.
xScape Templates Layout, Part 1: Overview

For the most part, xScape templates are based on normal WordPress structure. But, to make customization and working with different blocks easier, page layout is broken into smaller elements that can be controlled through Layout Manager for each templates individually.
xScape Theme Framework 1.6.5

As announced previously, xScape will soon get built-in support for bbPress plugin, and this 1.6.5 version of the framework is a one step closer to that, making changes that are needed to handle this discussion forum plugin. As always, there are couple of new features and minor changes.
xScape themes to support bbPress plugin

Plugin version of the bbPress is in development and expected to be completed soon and I have started to work on some preliminary development to bring full support for bbPress into xScape theme framework for all themes, allowing each theme to add it’s own styling.
New theme released: R8 1.0.0

This is a bit out of the blue, but, here is the brand new theme called R8. Theme features new xScape Theme Framework version 1.6.2 and 8 built-in color schemes and has a third top navigation menu under the header. Also, it uses Nivo slider with even more customization options.







Widgets in xScape, Part 3
xScape Theme Framework has many widgets built in. This video will show how to use these widgets: Author, Recent Comments, Pages Navigator and Video. Following tutorials will show how to use other widgets and widgets from the theme framework modules.
