xScape Theme Framework 1.5.9
New version of framework brings one very important upgrade thanks to the latest version of gdr2 Library 2.2.1, and this feature deals with caching of several key elements of the theme rendering process, in this version with widgets and menus. Widgets are also further improved.
gdr2 Library 2.2
As you may know, gdr2 is a base code library used by all Dev4Press Pro plugins and xScape themes. Over the past 2 months, this library has grown to include more features and now is the time for all plugins and xScape to be updated with this latest, much improved version.
xScape Theme Framework 1.5.8
New version of the framework is here. All themes are updated to use it due to some core changes made to improve working with images and layouts. xScape 1.5.8 includes many updates to the framework core, updated widgets with new options and context help improvements.
Install and update xScape based themes
There was a lot of talk before on how to install and update themes, but now, with the release of new Dev4Press Updater 1.5 that can also install themes, here are 2 video tutorials and list of previous posts dealing with the process of installing and updating any of the xScape based themes.
All Themes Updated with xScape 1.5.7.2
A critical bug in xScape was found (and fixed) yesterday, it was affecting only new installations. You can updated framework only, but for new users it will be easier to get updated themes not to updated them with framework after installation. So, all themes are released with new framework.
Updated Framework and upcoming Themes
Minor bug fixing version of the xScape Theme Framework 1.5.7.1 (build version is 666) is released with few fixes only. But, now is the time to announce what the immediate plans are for themes. Currently, there are 3 themes in various planning/development stages.
Enhance WordPress: Taxonomy terms Images
Taking the taxonomy features even further, this time with GD Custom Posts And Taxonomes Pro plugin and attaching images to the terms and using them inside the theme. Video shows attaching process and use without any additional coding in xScape themes and examples for any other theme.
