WordPress 3.1 is released last week, and it’s not as big a release as previous WP 3.0 was, but still, has it’s own share of new features and many bug fixes that make this update highly recommended. So, here is the status of Dev4Press plugins and themes working under new WordPress.
Finally, after few months of development, here is the brand new major version of ultimated WordPress administration plugin: GD Press Tools 4.0 Pro with improved backup, debugger, xml sitemaps generator, file manager, new interface, full support for WordPress 3.1 and multisite/network mode.
Beta 2 was very useful in terms of getting more bugs fixed and code improved. Focus was on optimizing and fixing the backup that has proven to be defective and very slow compared to other plugin. But, that is no longer the case, and backup with all the flexibility has speed also.
In the past few days, number of small bugs were discovered and fixed. But, plugin is not yet ready for final release, so here is the second Beta version. Most likely, Release Candidate will be out on Sunday, and Final version most likely next Thursday. So, here is more on this Beta 2.
The release of GD Press Tools 4.0 Pro is very close, and here is the first, and hopefully, only Beta version. At this point, all the features are locked, but there are many more planned features that will be added to the roadmap for 4.1 and 4.2 versions. Here is the quick overview of this release.
Last teaser for GD Press Tools 4.0 Pro, before release of Beta 1 version on Monday is for a new/old feature. Old, because it was available in some limited form before, and new because it will have more options and will be much more usable. And this feature is Debugger.
As you may know, gdr2 is a base code library used by all Dev4Press Pro plugins and xScape themes. Over the past 2 months, this library has grown to include more features and now is the time for all plugins and xScape to be updated with this latest, much improved version.
Brand new version of Pro edition of the plugin is here, fixing several bug, adding several brand new and updated features including updated interface with new jQueryUI library and refreshed color scheme. Also, this version no longer supports old WordPress 2.9.x.
New revision of my mod version of Headspace2 plugin under new name gdHeadSpace4 is released, adding more tags to be used for SEO purposes in title and description meta tags. Tags are related to custom taxonomies and terms for them and some post types improvements.
I have completed the work on the XML Sitemaps Generator feature for upcoming GD Press Tools Pro 4.0 and it works very well in both normal and multisite installations. This post shows you how the sitemap build results screen look like with different files and data about the build process.

Here are minor updates to both Pro and Lite of GD Custom Posts And Taxonomies Tools plugin, to add support for has_archive custom post type option added in WordPress 3.1 (still in RC stage, hopefully we will see final soon). There are some minor fixes and changes in both versions.
