It’s been a while since the Dev4Press website is redesigned, and it’s time to make some changes. The theme used will remain the same (lightScape), but will get new color scheme and few more visual improvements. Data organization will be changed a lot to rely fully on custom post types.
After first alpha version released over the weekend, work continues on the GD Products Center, and here is 0.7.2 Alpha. New version focuses on improving rewrite rules, theme integration templates, admin side interface improvements and many changes to rendering templates.
New minor revision for GD Press Tools Pro is out, mainly with fixes for bugs reported in the past two weeks (htaccess perishable tweaks problems, minor issues with backup and few more things). There are couple of new enhancements added and minor updates all over.
GD Products Center is a brand new plugin from Dev4Press for managing product types and products, bringing powerful comparison and filtering options and detailed product profiles that can feature specifications, images, videos and reviews. Current version is only preview of what’s to come.
On of the things I want to do with backups is to add encryption of files inside the archive, mainly database and some of source files at least. But, web servers and PHP is not really well suited to handle any type of encryption due to complexity and limited resources for such operations.
New major version of GD Custom Posts And Taxonomies Tools Pro is here and it brings several very important new features that you will not find in any other plugin: custom post types permalinks customization, 4 tagger methods, post type – taxonomy intersection archives.
