Development plans: July & August 2013

With Summer just starting, it is a good time to announce what is planned for this and next month. There are few small releases planned for the end of this week, since starting Monday, Dev4Press will be on a vacation. After that, August will see launch of new Dev4Press website.

During this week, one more minor release for GD Products Center Pro is coming, and that will be the last release before September (only if new bugs are reported, there will be some maintenance releases). Also, new xScape Theme Framework is coming also with some new interesting features included. Other than that, there are no plans for any new development for any of the plugins until September.

Dev4Press will be in a vacation mode from Saturday July 6 2013, until Monday August 5 2013. Contact forms will be disabled during this period. Emails will be also put on hold. So, whatever you need during July, use the forums, and expect slower than usual response. If you report any bugs, they will be fixed first thing in August.

After vacation, changes planned for Dev4Press will be finalized, and during August new Dev4Press website will be launched. Documentation will be moved to own subdomain, and user guides for most Pro plugins will be added (that will be work in progress) and expanded as needed. Goal is to put more time into user guides over the next 4-5 months. Because of that, no new development will be done until September.

  1. Hello Milan, since you’ve created a lot of SMART plugin series for WordPress. I’ve got a suggestion for you.

    A SMART URL embed box

It’s a simple WordPress plugin which will allows webmasters to embed a small box on every single post page where user wants on his blog. The box will automatically generate an embed-able snippet for the respected URL, and will enable users to copy the snippet and embed further on his blog/sites, wherever he wants!

The aim of plugin is to generate backlinks to the sites.

Hope! you’re getting my idea. Thanks, have a great vacation.
