Dev4Press plugins prices have not seen a lot of changes for the past 2 years, other than minor adjustments made last year in November, and few adjustments of the price for the Club license.
I know that talks of prices are not particularly popular, especially if they need to go up, but price changes are necessary for any business, and sometimes they go up, and sometimes down. And, that is what is going to happen on Dev4Press for plugins and addons prices in October of this year.
When the prices get updated in October, it will affect the base price for only 5 or 6 plugins, all other plugins will remain with the same base price (base price is Personal license price). With new prices structure, plugins will have the base price in the range of $20.00 to $50.00. The price adjustments in October will be for only $5.00 increase for the base price of some of the plugins. Right now I can confirm that GD bbPress Toolbox Pro will go from $35.00 to $40.00 and that both GD Topic Prefix Pro and GD Topic Polls Pro will go from $25.00 to $30.00.
The goal of the new price changes is to better reflect the plugin features, overall development time and support time. Also, inflation and currency exchange rates play some role in determining the possible price changes. I will never make drastic price changes unless the US Dollar loses a lot of its value (even then, I would switch default prices to some stable currency), but once a year I will evaluate the prices and make some adjustments if needed.
The major change will be with the Developer license. Current Developer License costs 5 times the Personal License price. And, in October, Developer License price will be lowered to 4 times the Personal License price. Other major change will be a new Unlimited License. It will be same as the Developer License, but, it will no longer have the 50 websites limit. The price for Unlimited License would be 2 times the Developer license. If the plugin Personal License price is $50, the Business License is $100, and Developer license will be $200 (compared to current price of $250). New Unlimited license will be $400.
Plugins Club licenses will be modified over time. The price of this license will be approximately 30 to 35% of the total value of individual plugins and addons.
