The Summer for the Northern hemisphere officially started last month and on Dev4Press, development activity has shifted focus from regular development cycles, with focus on the Dev4Press website.
Dev4Press Summer Development Mode for this year spans July, August and September, and it will be focused on the Dev4Press website, short vacation in August and several major updates to some of our plugins.
There are few releases planned for the Summer, and this will include:
- GD Mail Queue Pro 4.2 and Free 3.3 (July 22, 2019)
- GD Content Tools Pro 5.7 (July 30, 2019)
- GD Knowledge Base Pro 4.0 (August 5, 2019)
- GD Crumbs Navigator Pro 2.4 (August or September 2019)
- GD Topic Prefix Pro 1.5 (September 2019)
- GD Topic Polls Pro 2.2 (September 2019)
- GD Mail Queue Pro 4.3 (September 2019)
And, as usual, there will be some minor updates to fix reported bugs.
In October, the development will be returning to the primary focus, and major updates are planned for GD Press Tools Pro, GD Security Toolbox Pro, GD bbPress Toolbox Pro, GD Rating System Pro, GD Mail Queue Pro and few other plugins and addons to span the rest of the year.
The main focus for this Summer on Dev4Press will be updating the website in several areas. Some updates have been released already in now regular weekly updates, covering improvements to the payment process, user dashboard and account updates, improvements to the email system and emails sent…
The goal is to update information for all plugins and addons to include the same layout for their home pages and features, include additional relevant articles for each plugin or addon and make sure that all information provided is up to date. The other goal is to expand the knowledge base with more articles, developers references and other things.
In July and August, half of the plugins pages will be fully updated and replaced with new layouts, more features information and new interesting articles.
The second half of August is reserved for the vacation, and during these two weeks, support will be working, with longer response times, and there will be no new releases during this period. If there are some bugs to be fixed, that will wait for early September.
