With Summer just starting, it is a good time to announce what is planned for this and next month. There are few small releases planned for the end of this week, since starting Monday, Dev4Press will be on a vacation. After that, August will see launch of new Dev4Press website.

On Smashing Magazine: Create A Tab Widget

‘How To Create A Tab Widget In WordPress’ is my new article published on Smashing Magazine for WordPress. Article covers practical side of creating the Tabber widget: widget that can turn a sidebar into a single widget that uses tabbed navigation to save sidebar space.

Development plans: March, April & May 2013

There are many plans for further Dev4Press development, as always, but the time to do it is not enough, as always. For the next 3 months, there are things I plan to work on and here you can find out which projects will get major development focus and new releases.

Three years of Dev4Press

This month Dev4Press celebrates third birthday. On December 15 2009, Dev4Press.com with premium plugins and support went online. Here is the short overview of Dev4Press past development, and at the end you can get special 20% discount to celebrate third birthday.

New prices and licenses available

Dev4Press.com introduced last week new licenses for plugins and themes (personal and enterprise), and changes to the current licenses prices and features to some extent. Also, support methods are extended with direct support via Skype for new enterprise licenses.

Summer Development Plans

With summer heat waves (well, at least on the north hemisphere), most people are looking for a way to relax more and work less. On Dev4Press, development never stops, with many active projects that I will work on this summer. This is the development plugin for next 2 months.

On Smashing Magazine: Caching Methods

‘Do it yourself Caching Methods with WordPress’ is my first article published on Smashing Magazine for WordPress. Article covers two different caching methods and includes practical examples with in line code, with full widget example showing different cache approaches.

Fixing Third Party WordPress Plugins

One of the most frustrated things when using any kind of software, is that author doesn’t fix all the bugs fast enough. Since Dev4Press (and my other websites) use plugins other than my own, I decided to offer my own patches for the plugins I use, hopefully some of you will find that useful.

Dev4Press Support Changes

With the continuous growth of the Dev4Press, over the past year many things were changed to improve user experience and support. More such changes are coming and they will be introduced on March 4 2012. This will include improvements to forum, products info and more.
