Expanding xScape Framework and Themes

It’s very hard to anticipate everything that you might need to make customization of theme or a framework easier. xScape framework and all themes based on it include wide range of ways to customize them, but if you need something more, solution is simple: ask for it.

Theme in development: FrameFX

New theme is in development. It will be called FrameFX, and the basic visuals are already done. If everything goes OK, it will be released in about one month. Also, this is the first theme not to have Scape in the name, even so it will be powered by the xScape framework.

First minor revision of my mod version of Headspace2 plugin under new name gdHeadSpace4 is released fixing several more issues caused by tags integration code I missed first time around. Right now plugin looks very stable, but more changes are coming soon.

Coming soon: GD Press Tools 3.8

Next major release of GD Press Tools is coming soon with many new features. As usual, this is only for Pro version, and 3.8 will be last major release in the 3.x line. Here is more info on what this version will include, and also a coupon code for 20% discount.

Modded plugin: Headspace2

Headspace2 is great plugin for SEO. I prefer it much over other solutions like All-In-One SEO. But, problem with it is slow development and problems with WP3, unneeded features while missing features I need for my websites. So, I decided to work on my own version.

Roles and Capabilities

Roles and Capabilities in WordPress are added long time ago, but they still didn’t fully replaced user levels. Finally, levels are marked as deprecated, and should be avoided. So, it’s a good time to make a final break from them, and upgrade plugins to use capabilities.

New Templates System: T3

A while back I have developed templates system for GD Star Rating plugin, called T2. It was good, but there are some limitations that made it not so easy to use. New version of the system is called T3 and it uses similar approach but with many new things.

Making BuddyPress Themes

One of the goals I set for xScape themes is to eventually add support for BuddyPress. But making BuddyPress theme from scratch is not that easy as you might expected, and no wonder that there are only handful of quality BuddyPress themes available.

GD Press Tools 3.7 BETA

Next milestone version of GD Press Tools Pro is coming soon, and here is the latest Beta version. Final 3.7 version will be released by the end of next week. There are several new features that need more testing and few more important changes.

How to fight spam registrations and blogs???

OK, I don’t know about you, but I am sick and tired of cleaning my websites of spam registrations and spam blogs in case of multi site installations. And no matter what I tried, nothing really solves the problem. So, I decided to do something about that.

Current development status
