All the planned features for GD bbPress Toolbox Pro 5.0 should be implemented now. But, due to the number of changes it includes, it has to go through the Beta stage before getting a stable release.
Initial plans for the plugin were to release it by the end of October, but, some late additions caused the delay. New release date for stable version is now set to November 8, 2017. In the meantime, the plugin is ready for testing, and this Beta version will be followed by one more release over the weekend, before getting to the stable release.
This Beta version is not ready for the use on the live websites, it might contain serious bugs! Use only for testing purposes only on staging or localhost development servers!
Here are some of the highlights of the features in the new version:
- New plugin dashboard with improved information display
- Setup wizard for easier plugin configuration
- New about page with the update information
- Dedicated small icons font for better performance
- New panel with Thanks list for the admin side
- Full CSS refactoring to make all class names uniform
- Various new filter and actions for better control
- Cache layer improvements for bbPress 2.6 compatibility
Please, take some time and test the new version, and report any issues you find.

There is no way to count attachments download. Attachments are in the media library, and there is no way to count how many times file is accessed.
