The third beta version of the upcoming GD Knowledge Base Pro 5.0 is now available, continuing the work from the previous Beta, adding yet another block (for a total of 8), fixes tons of issues, and includes many more improvements.
You should check the previous post about the first Beta version to get more information about the upcoming release. Also, there is a new demo website created using the latest Beta of the plugin, and all data for the demo is generated with the DemoPress plugin.
The demo website uses WordPress 5.8 with the Block Editor powered Widgets panel, and all widgets related to GD Knowledge Base Pro, are added as blocks, no legacy widgets are used.
This is a Beta release, and it might contain bugs or unfinished features! Do not use it on live websites! This version is made for testing purposes on staging or development websites only. This version requires PHP 7.0 or newer and WordPress 5.1 or newer. For Blocks, plugin requires WordPress 5.6 or newer, and for older versions, blocks will not be loaded.
The work in this Beta continues to improve the blocks. Most blocks have been improved, expanded with new settings, and have improved behavior under various scenarios.
The bulk of current work on the plugin is connected to the upcoming changes for the Dev4Press website. The New Dev4Press website will be launched later this month, and right now I am finishing work on the new support website. And, because of that, a stable version of GD Knowledge Base Pro 5.0 will be released after the new Dev4Press website is launched, with the target for the plugin currently being September 6th.
As usual, please report any issues you may find with the new beta, especially related to migration from previous stable versions, problems with theme templates compatibility, and anything else really.
To see the list of all the changes in this version, please check out the changelog. If you find any issues with the new version, please, report them in the support forums.
