How to fight spam registrations and blogs???

OK, I don’t know about you, but I am sick and tired of cleaning my websites of spam registrations and spam blogs in case of multi site installations. And no matter what I tried, nothing really solves the problem. So, I decided to do something about that.

Dev4Press Updater Beta Available

Updating pro versions of our plugins is now easy to do as it is for the free plugins from WordPress repository. Updater plugin is currently in beta stage, so a bugs are to be expected. Please, try it and report any problem you find so it can be fixed for the final release.

Current development status

In the past weeks, there were not many news here on Dev4Press. But that doesn’t mean that nothing is going on. So, this post is intended to be sort of a announcement of our plans for the period until the end of March including both plugins, themes and premium support.

Soon: Auto updater for Pro plugins

As I promised when this new Dev4Press started last month, there will be plugin able to automatically upgrade Pro plugins the same way WordPress does for regular plugins. And this updater plugin is currently under development and will be released next week.

Upcoming Auto update plugin

All free plugin will still remain on the WordPress.org, and will be auto updated using WordPress plugin update as usual. But this is not working for premium plugins since they are not on WordPress.org. So, we decided to make our own update plugin that will do the same for our premium plugins.

WP Benchmark: Setup

As I have announced already, I will going to benchmark various aspects of WordPress and plugins used. Before I proceed publishing benchmark results I am working on right now, I want to describe the benchmark setup I will use, WordPress versions and plugins that will be installed.
