Another double release today for GD Press Tools, both Pro and Lite version. Pro version of the plugin has got another new tool to the arsenal (allowing to use beta and nightly updates to WordPress core), and there were several changes and fixes to both versions.
As previously announced, this release of GD Star Rating will be the ending of the current, and soon old 1.x branch. Development of GD Star Rating 2.0.0 is well underway, and until it is completed, there will be some bug fixing releases in the current stable branch.
After the release of GD Press Tools new versions few days ago, all other plugins are now also updated. Update is minor, and fixes some info files elements and adds first translations for all Pro versions to Spanish translated by Ãngel GuzmÃ¡n Maeso.
New 2010 has just started, but development of Dev4Press is active as always. Latest batch of changes improves on the download pages and also ads new support activity widget. And portfolio website is finally finished, and will be maintained regularly from now on.
And, first releases in 2010 are new versions of GD Press Tools. Both Pro and Lite editions are updated and contain many changes and improvements, with Pro version getting another brand new feature. And Pro edition gets first translation, Spanish.
For the last few days there is an open discussion on Weblog Tools Collection website about paying for plugins as a trend for 2010. There were a lot of comments and different opinions about the subject, and I will try to go over the subject again.

Over the weekend I have updated all my websites to use latest WordPress 2.9, and I tried to test as many features as I can on different setups, with many different plugins and overall this is great release, but as usual, it’s not all good with this latest release.

In the last few days there were several bugs found on Dev4Press. Some of them were minor (that includes styling issues on some pages and some IE incompatibilities), and some were more serious (broken contact form and broken download links).
After more than a month since the release of previous version of GD Simple Widgets, here is the new version that fixes few minor problems with upcoming WordPress 2.9 and also changes some of the default rendering used for post based widgets.
