Dev4Press Updater 3.0 is 100% rewritten to bring better integration with WordPress, make the interface simpler and more streamlined. New Updater supports new themes and will no longer update old xScape Theme Framework 1.x themes (they are retired now).
New plugin version is deeper integrated into WordPress. When new updates are available for plugins or themes, it will be available in the WordPress Updater directly, and you don’t need to use separate Updater panel as before. You can still see and review all installed products you have, check status and changelog or update. Image below shows the new Products panel with different states for plugins. As you can see, plugin has simpler interface and more in line with WordPress own admin design.
New plugin version no longer shows retired plugins and themes (old xScape 1.x themes can’t be installed or updated anymore with this plugin), but it adds support for new xScape2 Theme Framework themes. You can still install plugins and themes directly without download and this time you have panel with list of themes and plugins you can purchase. News panel is expanded to show promotions, news and list of latest plugin/themes updates released on Dev4Press.

As for the update to new Updater version, old plugin version (2.x) will be able to update itself to new version, but old 2.x plugin can’t be used anymore for anything else. So, update the Updater 3.0, and please let me know if you find any issue or bug.
