GD Press Tools Pro 5.0.3

The third minor release for GD Press Tools Pro 5.0 is here with new several new fixes, very important updates (tweaks for database backup and change to plugin initialization) and some minor new features.

This version brings 3 important fixes: CRON addon was not detecting some scheduled jobs, Dropbox upload was not using remote folder path set for the storage and WP Dashboard widgets were labeled wrong. As for the new features, WP Toolbar addon now allows for the menu to be expanded, and some addons are now adding own links into it (Backup, Cleanup and Tweaks). Debugger addon allows you to set the cutoff for the slow query detection (10% of the full-time is default). Plugin initialization is now moved to zero priority of the plugins loaded action. This solves some issues with plugins that load too soon. Notifications digest emails now use a bit improved template.

Most important changes are tweaks for the PDO powered database backup. After some testing, I have noticed some slight issues that could cause a problem when the file needs to be imported later. On some setups, individual query lines have proven to be too long causing for the server to ‘go away’ during import. Because of that, few changes are made to default settings including 20% smaller max line length, use of completed and extended inserts and disable of no auto-commit controls.

Make sure to check out the roadmap for the plugin. It is updated with plans for next to major versions (subject to changes).

For now, if you find any more errors, please report them in the support forum. And, check out the knowledge base, many more articles and videos are added with instructions on how to use the plugin, and more is coming later this week.
