GD Security Toolbox Pro 1.5 is the new update for this WordPress security plugin with many updates and improvements to the firewall, .htaccess addon, registration filtering and events log.
Registration control has a new option where you can list emails you want to ban from email registration. Even when you delete a user, this user can signup again with the same email, and with this new option, it will stop that same email from being used. And, to make email, username or domain banning easier, security log event data dialog has useful options for banning them.
The plugin has a new tool to reset Firewall and .htaccess 6G Firewall rules. Because of the frequent changes, these rules can have, any time you update the plugin, you can reset these rules and install an updated list of rules. And, all these rules have been updated in this version, including a bunch of new rules for the Firewall and tweaks to the 6G Firewall (including removal of some rules that were reportedly causing some issues). The plugin has new About panel similar to the panel in our other recently updated plugins.
Finally, there are several bugs fixed in this version, including some PHP 7.1 related warnings, the problem with banning IP’s from the Events log and problems with saving some of the firewall rules.
If you notice any problems with the plugin, stop by the support forums to report it. Let me know what you think about the new version, and as always, suggestions are welcome.
