GD Crumbs Navigator 2.5: Rossetti

The new version of the breadcrumbs plugin has been released mostly with updates related to the rich snippets generated for the breadcrumbs in light of the recent Google Search Console changes. It is highly recommended to update to this later plugin version as soon as possible.

This month has seen a lot of changes introduced by Google to rich snippets handling and support, including major change in Google Webmasters Search Console introducing Breadcrumbs panel. That also introduced some changes in the way they process breadcrumbs rich snippets, causing a lot of errors to be sent to website owners.

Now, if you are already using GD Crumbs Navigator Pro for breadcrumbs, you are most likely safe and that there are no errors. But, it is advisable to update the plugin to this new version because it fixes several errors in the generated markup, including some minor snippets issues. Also, the old RDF Legacy rich snippets format has been removed, and it defaults back to RDF.

The new version is now setting JSON-LD as a default rich snippets markup, and if you are not using it currently, I suggest that you switch to the new rich snippets format. This version also introduces improvements in the HTML format for the generated breadcrumbs for better readability.

If you notice any issues with this new version, or you get some issues with the Google rich snippets processing, please, let me know in the support forums.

Please wait...
