The new version of our security plugin brings many improvements into the built-in Antispam addon, most notably, support for GravityForms and the ability to scan and mark incoming form submissions as spam.
The antispam addon has gotten several updates this time around, including improved URL detection, new HTML tags filter for some content types, expanded settings descriptions and support for GravityForms plugin.
The plugin can scan incoming GravityForms submissions and check the IP against DNSBL filters. And, if spam is detected, it is marked as spam and still in the GravityForms list of entries (under Spam) – plugin also activates GravityForms manual spam controls. You have two new events in GD Security Toolbox Pro events log – for GravityForms auto-detected spam and for manual spam.
There are many more updates and fixes included in this release, including some antispam bugs and tested compatibility with PHP 7.4.
