Dev4Press.com website has gone through some maintenance last week, with few more things fixes added today. Plugins and themes support forums are updated with expanded topic forms and affiliates program information is improved and updated with few new rules and guidelines.
Dev4Press website is updated to use latest WordPress 3.4.1, and with that forum is updated to bbPress 2.1. Also, 3 Dev4Press free plugins for bbPress are replaced with GD bbPress Toolbox Pro.
But, major change is done using GD Custom Posts and Taxonomies Tools Pro plugin: plugins and themes subforums topics forms are expanded with additional fields to specify type of support question, plugin, PHP and WordPress version you are using. This will help with the support process, especially with bug reports. All extra fields in the form are required.
There are new rules and changes to the affiliates program. Guidelines & Rules and FAQ pages are updated to reflect those changes. Changes are added due to several cases of misuse of the affiliates program and from now on will be strictly enforced. The goal is to have a system that is generous with commissions payout to those that play fair, and the new rules will affect only some affiliates. Due to these changes, more than 20 affiliates partnerships will be cancelled over the next day or two due to lack of activity of breaking of the rules.
All subscription based emails (weekly digest and release updates for now) are expanded to include direct unsubscribe links. Many fixes are applied on the various website areas, including broken search in the Central Documentation section. Please report any more problems you may find, and I will get on fixing them as soon as possible.
