Brand new major version of GD Press Tools Pro is here. There are not many new things in this one, but it includes huge core changes by using modules for some of the elements of the plugin. Database, robots meta tags, cron and few other things are expanded with new features.
After several months of development and testing, new major release of GD Press Tools Pro is here. Version 4.2 has a long changelog, but focus in this one is new backup module, new auto tagger module, Sucuri free security scan, many bugs fixed and many improvements to rest of the plugin.
More changes are in for another Beta version of GD Press Tools Pro 4.2. New Beta #3 brings many fixes to backup module (email sending, tasks editor, process log), cron scheduler and XML sitemaps generator, and also adds brand new module for Sucuri Free Security Scan
GD Press Tools 4.1 development has started, and it will take some time to do it all, but here is first alpha version containing part of the features planned for 4.1: improved interface, using timepicker for scheduling jobs, improvements for upcoming WordPress 3.2 and few bugs fixed.
GD Press Tools 4.0.5 Pro, brings one more new and very useful feature, also feature that many users requested: admin bar control based on the user role. I also added a filter for additional and finer control of the admin bar control. There are some more minor changes in this version.
GD Press Tools 4.0.4 Pro, brings another round of improvements to XML Sitemap Generator (different ways to calculate priorities, improved URL filtering to include all sitemap related parameters), few more other changes and fixes several bugs (including disabling admin bar).
Brand new version, GD Press Tools 4.0.3 Pro, brings many improvements to XML Sitemap Generator (exclusions of posts and terms and extra links list), improved plugin front page boxes, added more descriptions to some of the options and fixes several bugs.
Finally, after few months of development, here is the brand new major version of ultimated WordPress administration plugin: GD Press Tools 4.0 Pro with improved backup, debugger, xml sitemaps generator, file manager, new interface, full support for WordPress 3.1 and multisite/network mode.
Beta 2 was very useful in terms of getting more bugs fixed and code improved. Focus was on optimizing and fixing the backup that has proven to be defective and very slow compared to other plugin. But, that is no longer the case, and backup with all the flexibility has speed also.
In the past few days, number of small bugs were discovered and fixed. But, plugin is not yet ready for final release, so here is the second Beta version. Most likely, Release Candidate will be out on Sunday, and Final version most likely next Thursday. So, here is more on this Beta 2.
The release of GD Press Tools 4.0 Pro is very close, and here is the first, and hopefully, only Beta version. At this point, all the features are locked, but there are many more planned features that will be added to the roadmap for 4.1 and 4.2 versions. Here is the quick overview of this release.
