Mute Users

Mute Users feature gives all your forum users ability to mute other users, and essentially hide all the content from muted users while browsing the forums. Along with the Mute Forums feature, each user can control how much of the forums and activity will be visible.

Each forum user can mute other users, and no one else is affected by that, and no one else knows which users are muted by anyone. Muted users panel in the user profile is visible to account owner only.

Muting action is added to the topic and reply actions, by default inside the Footer Actions bar, but, using the Topic Actions and Reply Actions features you can control where the Mute User action is added.

Review Muted Users

User profile pages are expanded with the new page that shows all the muted users. From this page, you can un-mute users.

Feature Settings

This feature has couple of settings only. One options is to configure ‘slug’ used for the URL for user profile page where user can see all muted users, and un-mute them.

The other option control which users (by user role) can’t be muted. It is a bad idea to allow users to mute keymasters or moderators, and by default that is how the option is set.

Muted Users Behavior

For every logged-in user, the plugin will modify all topics and reply queries, and it will remove all posts by muted users. This will essentially hide all posts from muted users in the whole forum.
