Changes to the plugins pricing
Dev4Press plugins switched to use Freemius in January of 2025, and to make things simpler, the new pricing model remained as it was before that. We have now decided to update the pricing model.
New free JS script: Flyin
Flyin is a different type of project for Dev4Press, this time it is a free (under MIT license) script for creating popups, written in TypeScript with SASS styling and Vite build process.
Upcoming website updates and Updater deprecation
Today, the latest and final version of Dev4Press Updater plugin is released – 4.8.1 will show deprecation notice for the Updater. And, there are more things happening behind the scenes of the Dev4Press website that will be revealed soon.
Removing GD: Rebranding in Progress
The collapse of MyCommerce (our payment processor and merchant of record) has forced us to speed up the schedule, accelerate the switch to Freemius integration, and rebrand all the plugins by removing the GD prefix.
MyCommerce Payment Processor suspended operations
Without any previous announcement, MyCommerce (our payment processor and merchant of record) parent company, Digital River, has filed for insolvency and suspended all the operations with developers and companies selling through them.
Major changes coming soon to Dev4Press
In December this year, Dev4Press will celebrate its 15th birthday. Many changes will be made leading up to this anniversary, and the goal is to finish all the planned changes during the next 2025 year.
Dev4Press and Freemius: SweepPress Integration
For the past 15 years, Dev4Press has been using MyCommerce (formerly ShareIt) as a selling partner and payment processing, and there are no plans to change that. But, we would like to offer some alternatives regarding payments.
Dev4Press Website, Version 11
The updated Dev4Press.com website is now available. In the past three weeks, work has been done to change the website’s structure and improve many visual, SEO, and internal elements.
Changes to the plugins translations delivery
Starting in June 2024, the MO translation files will be handled differently inside the Pro plugins distributed from the Dev4Press website. This change will affect all plugins when they are updated to shared library version 4.9.
Introducing Setup Packages
By popular request, Dev4Press now includes setup packages that can be purchased along with the plugin licenses and include plugin setup and training with the Dev4Press Support team via Meet, Zoom, or Skype.
Plugin licenses pricing changes
The end of 2023 brings a significant change in the pricing structure for most Dev4Press plugins, and the base prices for many plugins (including our most popular GD bbPress Toolbox Pro plugin) are lower than ever before.
New plugin coming soon for bbPress Forums Moderation
It has been a long time coming, but, the work has begun on the new plugin that aims to bring a wide range of tools to bbPress forums related to content moderation. The plugin is expected to be released early next year.
