Manage Options

Options Panel is used to manage non WordPress records in the WordPress Options database table.

To learn more about the process, check out this user guide Also, make sure to check out the relevant settings.

Panel Structure

This panel shows list of all records from Options tables (with no WordPress Core or Transient records). For each record, you have option ID, option name, status and source, value and value size, and status of the autoload flag.

The table has several filters and search allowing you to find records by status, source and by prefix. It is quite easy to narrow down the records based on various parameters.

When it comes to the options values, scalar values are displayed, long strings displayed partially, and serialized data is not displayed because objects and array can take a lot of space on the page, and it is impractical to do so.

Plugin can show serialized data with the help of DebugPress plugin. If you have that plugin active, there is an option in the plugin settings to enable display of serialized data.

Records Actions

All records that have Unknown source, or have recognized source, but it is either missing or inactive, will have option to delete the record via direct Delete link or using Bulk checkboxes. Each record has action to disable or enable Autoload flag.

Each delete operation is final, and before it is done, plugin will show the confirmation dialog reminding you to have data backup, and that once deleted, records can’t be restored without backup.

Quick Tasks

The additional method to remove options from Options table is by using Quick Tasks panel. Right now, there are 4 tasks included.

Make sure to understand how each task works, and use the option to preview the data before removing it.
