Journal Topic

Journal Topic is a special type of topic, allowing registered users to create topic where only they can post replies. This type of topic allows author to post information and expand it via replies, and not require any further replies from other forum members. Other than not allowing replies, this type of topic is behaving the same way as other topics. Each Journal topic will have an icon displayed in topics list to make it easier to identify.

Journal Topic Settings

This type of topic can be limited to users by role, and to only some forums. Via settings, you can allow keymasters and moderators to reply to journal topics or edit joutnal topic and replies.

Finally, you can choose location in the topic form where the journal control is added.

Journal Integration in Form

Checkbox to activate Journal topic is added to the new topic form, and also edit topic form. Once the topic is set as Journal, that Journal status can be disabled in editing.
