One of the goals I set for xScape themes is to eventually add support for BuddyPress. But making BuddyPress theme from scratch is not that easy as you might expected, and no wonder that there are only handful of quality BuddyPress themes available.
Summer is usually not very productive period for any company, but on Dev4Press there is no rest, and many new things are coming this july. Plan is to release 2 new themes and new versions of some of the plugins, and to redesign this website to use brand new theme.
One of the first plugins for WordPress I made more than 2 years ago is GD LinkedId Badge, simple widget for adding link to LinkedIn profile, is now officially back and available on Dev4Press. New version is still free, and that’s not going to change.
After the first part of the benchmark of WordPress 3.0 versus 2.9.2, here is the second part focusing on the admin section of the WordPress and the execution on the client side. Part 3 is coming in a few days and it will be dedicated to testing on the blog side of the WordPress.
Only days after release of WordPress 3.0, here is brand new Pro edition of GD Press Tools, latest milestone 3.7. Also, Lite edition is updated to 2.5.1 containing some of the features added to Pro edition also including URL scanner for SQL injections and request length.

June 17 2010, day when long waited WordPress 3.0 code name Thelonious is released. After several beta and release candidates released over last 2 months, many, many bugs were fixed and right now WP 3.0 looks very stable and well worth the upgrade.
WordPress 3.0 is finally released few hours ago, and here is the latest update to GD Custom Posts And Taxonomies Tools both Pro and Lite plugins. Some internal links are fixed and flushing rewrite rules changed to avoid problems with page not found messages.
Next milestone version of GD Press Tools Pro is coming soon, and here is the latest Beta version. Final 3.7 version will be released by the end of next week. There are several new features that need more testing and few more important changes.
New versions of both editions of GD Press Tools are now released. Both versions got few more WP tweaking settings, but Pro version got more improvements to registrations and validity checks, more settings and panels updates and number of bugs are fixed.
Here is first update of the spam fighting super powers GD Press Tools Pro got with previous version. This time you get the registrations panel to manually control all saved registration records and control banning of IP, username, email or email domain used for registration.
This wasn’t actually planned release, and it’s made out of necessity. I am very frustrated by the increasing number of spam registrations that my websites get, but once the spam registrations and spam blogs started to plague xScape info demo website, I decided to do something about that.
