Some 3 and a half years ago I have released my first widget-plugin for WordPress called GD Pages Navigator with advanced way to display pages hierarchy. Plugin reached 3.8.1 version year after that and stopped there. But, because of the popular demand, now it is reborn.
WordPress 3.3 is in development right now with feature freeze in effect, and it is expected to enter Beta phase in the next couple of weeks. For now, here is a preview of some of the features that will be part of this new version. WordPress 3.3 should be released in december 2011.
Here is minor release for GD Custom Posts And Taxonomies Tools Pro with few changes and several bugs fixed. One new option is to have custom meta boxes without plugins title prefix. Post types widget has new URL generating method that uses WordPress internal function for that.
New WordPress 3.3 is planned for the end of this year, and yesterday WordPress development reached feature freeze stage, so we are now safe to proceed with testing of all new features coming and to test Dev4Press plugins, theme framework and themes with next WordPress.
Forum plugin bbPress 2.0 is released, and I am releasing new version of free GD bbPress Attachments plugin with few more interesting features that can help make integration better and more usable with icons for different file types attached to topics or replies and forum icons.
New minor revision of GD Press Tools Pro brings some bugs fixed and several new features as well: centralized cleanup tools and many updates to plugins admin bar options to include quick tools operations and improvements to existing comments cleanup operations.
New GD Custom Posts And Taxonomies Tools Pro, and more new features added: improved custom post types and taxonomies archives intersections permalinks, terms widgets support new intersection links and several bugs with permalinks, admin options and meta boxes.
Dev4Press support forum was powered by bbPress standalone forum. Now, that changes and that is migrated to new and better bbPress 2.0 plugin forum. This is first among many changes that are coming to Dev4Press website. New features and more forum improvements are coming soon.
First part of planned changes on Dev4Press are now live and this includes support forum powered by bbPress 2.0 plugin. But, few more things are still planned and they will be rolled out in the next 2 weeks and that will include a major new website feature that I will keep as secret for now.
New alpha release is here. Theme integration templates are finalized, new rendering template added for reviews, tools for import and export of data are completed, and many minor things are changed and tweaked. Right now, all completed features are very stable and usable.
Here is the minor update for GD Custom Posts And Taxonomies Tools Pro, focused solely on fixing bugs. We have 4 bugs fixed and shared gdr2 library is updated to 2.4.5 (also contains some internal bug fixes). Some obsolete files and functionalities are removed from the plugin.
Regenerate Thumbnails is a must have plugin for any dynamic website that deals with a lot of images, theme changes and expanded list of image sizes in use. Also, it should be part of any development environment, and for sure has saved me a lot of time in the past few months.
