GD bbPress Attachments 1.5

Brand new update for GD bbPress Attachments brings several major features: display of image attachments as thumbnails, new tabbed interface for the plugin, error logging and display, as well as several important fixes including problem with uploading from edit topic and reply pages.

Slow adoption rate of new WordPress versions

New WordPress 3.3 is just around the corner, and no matter how good new version will be, in the next couple of months less than 15% of all WordPress websites will upgrade to 3.3. And if you look to the past versions of WordPress, you will see that adoption rate looks pretty bad.

Price changes for plugins and themes

Last year in November, there was price adjustment for some of the products, and now, a year later we have more price changes. Themes prices are lowered (single and membership), plugins pack with annual payments is also lowered, and individual plugins have equal prices.

Preview of GD Press Tools Pro 4.3

Main goal with 4.3 is to finish the plugin core changes started with 4.2 version. Now, focus is on modularity, and many of the plugin features will be handled as modules for better control in the multisite/network environments. Some new features and fixes will be also included.

GD Products Center Pro 0.8.5 Beta

New major beta release is released and it contains many new features: filter archive pages, indexing of the product properties for filtering and searching, improved editors and controls, improved support for WordPress 3.3, updated jQueryUI and gdr2 libraries and more.

Two years of Dev4Press

It has been 2 years to the day since I started working on new Dev4Press website and premium plugins business project. And, exactly one month after that, Dev4Press was online. With a bit of history of Dev4Press, we re giving 30% discount for all our products for the next month.

Testing with WordPress 3.3 Beta 3

WordPress 3.3 will be released by the end of this year, but current beta versions are stable enough to be used for testing, considering that this latest beta should be feature completed version and that includes new jQuery 1.7 that was likely to cause compatibility problems to plugins.

Do you really need Akismet?

I never had problem with paying for services or products (after all, I run commercial plugins and themes business myself), and I planned to upgrade my Akismet license since they introduced the strict payment plan. But, than I discovered that I don’t really need Akismet at all.

Changes to data saving for GD Products Center

GD Products Center is under heavy development at the moment, and it will require a major change to the code that will save the data for products. This change will affect only some of the property types that can be used for products, to allow for fast data filtering and search.
