GD Simple Widgets 2.1 Pro

It’s been awhile since the previous versions of both plugins, but here are updated versions, compatible with upcoming WordPress 3.1 and fixes the problems caused by loading of jQuery and jQueryUI when not needed (issues with all xScape based themes are now gone).

As you might know, I have written about plugins optimization many times already, including benchmarks. And, it is a great thing to know that some developers have taken the time to improve their own plugins based on my recommendations. Here is the story about one great optimization.

GD Press Tools 4.3.8 Pro

Here is the new maintenance release for GD Press Tools Pro, bringing fixes for several reported bugs (DropBox backups upload, beta/nightly updates problems), updated libraries (gdr2 and several jQuery ones), updated translation POT file and few other minor changes.

GD bbPress Attachments 1.7.1

New major release of GD bbPress Attachments includes full plugin loading optimization with code separated into different files for admin and front end side. Also, reported problems with missing upload error display are now fixed and improved for more accurate display.

GD Products Center Pro 1.0.6

Here is the new minor revision, fixing couple of bugs: issues with the display of data for the select property type, and couple of issues with adding images to the product (JavaScript problem with detecting image inserted), and adding several predefined functions for select type property.

…And what WordPress actually needs?

It is not fair only to point out what is not good with upcoming WordPress, as I did yesterday. There are many things WordPress need, and for some reason all that is completely overlooked by core developers, so I will list all those things that will actually make WordPress better.

What will we get with WordPress 3.4?

WordPress 3.4 Beta was released next week, and it is a good time to see what to expect from new version. Right from the start, I must say that I am disappointed with current development of WordPress and that this new version makes even previous WordPress 3.3 looks good.

GD Products Center Pro 1.0.5

New plugin version, and many more new features, improvements and bugs fixed. Most important things are: basic support for Google Rich Snippets for products, new shortcode, improved import and export, updated libraries, new rendering templates and few more things.
