hCaptcha is popular captcha implementation often use to replace Google reCaptcha. To start with using the hCaptcha, you need hCaptcha account, and you need to configure your website to use hCaptcha widget. More information you can find in the dedicated article for setting up the hCaptcha.

hCaptcha is better when it comes to privacy, but it can be very intrusive, and some challenges can be hard to solve, can take a lot of space on the screen and it can be very annoying to the users.

Using The Captcha

This feature is integrated in various other features, and the captcha is integrated by other features. If you want to use Captcha for Antispam purposes, check out the Antispam features to enable and configure the captcha method to use. All other uses for captcha are controlled by the Captcha Protection feature.

coreSecurity Pro will load JS and CSS files related to this captcha method with some styling tweaks, and JavaScript code that will activate the captcha widget.

hCaptcha widget has hardcoded size that can’t be tweaked, and the Normal theme widget width is 303px. To make the widget fit into some areas, coreSecurity Pro will attempt to limit the widget size, which can cause some elements of the widget to look cut.

Content Security Policy

If you are using CSP, and hCaptcha system, you need to add CSP rules for this service. coreSecurity Pro includes hCaptcha in the list of Predefined Rules, and you should enable it there.
