Auto Close Topics

Auto Close Topic is a handy feature that will close any topic that has been without activity for an extended period of time. You have global settings for this feature, allowing you to enable auto closing to show notice about when the topic will be auto closed if there is no activity and the option to set how many days that period will last. So if it is set to 90 days, if the topic doesn’t get any new replies after 90 days, it will be automatically closed.

By default, global auto close option is set to Disabled. This allows you to only have this feature working for some specific forums and not for all forums, by using forum based settings override.

This feature supports forum override settings, and you can change the auto-closing status and the number of days for each forum individually via the forum edit panel on the admin side.

You can also modify auto-closing parameters when you create a new topic. To do that, the plugin can add settings to the topic and reply forms that will allow the topic author to change the number of days for the topic’s auto-closing.

Finally, a plugin supports sending notifications to topic author once the topic is auto closed.
