Just like with the photos, there are many websites where you can find quality illustrations and vectors (usually SVG format), under public domain or Creative Commons Zero license, free for commercial use.

Finding CC0 licensed illustrations and vectors is much harder than when photos and number of websites you can use for that is rather small.

The website allows you to download each image is one of the available sizes, or in the vector SVG format, you can see the number of views and downloads... You can register for a free account, and you can keep your list of favourite images and comment on every image.

i2Clipart is old and not very modern looking website, but you will find some great vectors and illustrations, including a wide selection of emoticons. You can search by keyword or colour, and each image shows the dominant colours used, preview in different sizes and more. It includes an SVG editor that works in the browser.

OpenClipart is one of the oldest websites with free vectors and illustrations. Not only that, it is the largest website for commercial free vectors and illustrations, listing over 130.000 files. The website is not pretty, but it is easy to use and allows you to download files in SVG, PDF, PNG or WMF formats. You can signup and upload your own vectors.
