Just like with the photos, there are many websites where you can find quality illustrations and vectors (usually SVG format), under public domain or Creative Commons Zero license, free for commercial use.

Finding CC0 licensed illustrations and vectors is much harder than when photos and the number of websites you can use for that is rather small.

CC0 is the only Creative Commons license compatible with GPL license. So, here are 7 websites with high-quality vectors and illustrations, all under Public Domain or CC0 license, and free for commercial use, with no attribution required.

PublicDomainVectors is a huge website with 45000+ vectors available under CC0 (Public Domain) license. The website is categorized and includes search and filtering using tags. This website offers two additional tools: SVG generator (for generating pattern based SVG files) and browser-based SVG editor.

Pixabay is one of the best websites for CC0 licensed content, and it contains vectors and illustrations (alongside photos and videos). The website allows you to download each image is one of the available sizes, or in the vector SVG format, you can see the number of views and downloads... You can register for a free account, and you can keep your list of favourite images and comment on every image.

Clker is another great source for free vectors and illustrations, with categorized files. You can download each image as SVG or in variously sized PNG format. The website features SVG editor, and you can directly edit each SVG.

i2Clipart is old and not very modern looking website, but you will find some great vectors and illustrations, including a wide selection of emoticons. You can search by keyword or colour, and each image shows the dominant colours used, preview in different sizes and more. It includes an SVG editor that works in the browser.

OpenClipart is one of the oldest websites with free vectors and illustrations. Not only that, it is the largest website for commercial free vectors and illustrations, listing over 130.000 files. The website is not pretty, but it is easy to use and allows you to download files in SVG, PDF, PNG or WMF formats. You can signup and upload your own vectors.

GoodFreePhotos is a huge archive of free photos, illustrations and vectors. The website has somewhat outdated design and included vectors are maybe not of the highest quality, but it is possible to find some great vectors and illustrations free for commercial use.
