About unforeseen delays in development

As you have noticed, the previously announced development and release plans have all been broken, and several important releases are still not released. The whole program has been delayed by about 3 or more months.

Privacy first: Analytics with no Tracking Cookies

As previously announced, Dev4Press and all other mine websites, have ditched Google Analytics and replaced it with Matomo On-Premise Analytics that I host, set to no longer use tracking cookies, and keep all the analytics data anonymous and in-house.

New plugin for WordPress cleanup coming soon…

A brand new plugin for WordPress is coming out on Dev4Press soon! The plugin will have 25+ tools for running all sorts of database cleanup tasks, it will have support for job scheduling and it will be available to run via WP CLI and WP REST API.

New Breadcrumbs plugin coming soon

By the end of this month, or in early April (hopefully sooner than later), Dev4Press will have its newest plugin dedicated to breadcrumbs, replacing the current GD Crumbs Navigator Pro plugin.

All plugins prices changes

You may have noticed, that the last week of 2020 has brought a change to prices for all Dev4Press plugins, addons, and club licenses with some prices adjusted a month before, in November (for rating plugin and addons).

Updated Development Policy

With the release of PHP 8.0, and the upcoming WordPress 5.6, with the end of the year coming soon, it is the right time to make updates to Development Policy and finally remove support for some very outdated technologies.

Getting ready for PHP 8

Next major version of PHP, version 8.0, is scheduled for release later this month, and it represents a huge step from current PHP 7.x, but it also brings many breaking changes that would require changes to existing code to be able to run on new PHP.

bbPress 2.5.x will no longer be supported

All Dev4Press plugins for bbPress were tested and updated, and in some instances, even had the additional code for the bbPress 2.5.x versions. But, that is now coming to an end, and Dev4Press plugins no longer support these old and outdated bbPress versions.
