GD bbPress Toolbox 3.5 Pro

Brand new, major 3.5 plugin version brings another batch of new features, this time more community driven, based on user requests. So, private replies and topics are added, signatures can be edited using BBCodes or TinyMCE editors. And there are many more things included.

GD bbPress Toolbox Pro 3.5 is very important release bringing several major features requested by the plugin users over the past couple of months. On top of that, plugin got several minor new features, many improvements and several bugs fixed.

Private Topics and Replies Settings

Private Topics and Replies are very easy to control, and they have only few options you need to review and set. But, behind the scenes plugin is making many changes to implement this very useful feature. Only topic/reply author, administrators and moderators can read private content. Plugin modifies newsletter subscriptions, buttons on the topic and reply to prevent some of the functions for users that don’t have rights to access private content.

To edit signatures, you can switch to BBCodes Toolbar or TinyMCE editor (full or compact). Rules about using editor elements depend on the user role and capabilities, so regular users (subscribers) will not be able to use Media Library button. On top of this, plugin now allows you to set who can edit the signatures. This way you can have only administrators to set signatures for other users.

Other new features include: brand new panel to show all Users active in the forums (you can even see all the signatures set there), option to enable reply title, option to change title length, topic icons (for the list of topics – forum or view) for sticky topics or topics where current user replied at least once, auto flush rewrite rules when editing views. Plugin styles and JavaScript are much imporved, with main JavaScript file fully reorganized. Some of the settings are reorganized too. New FontAwesome font icons library is linked. Some minor styling problems are fixed. Most importantly is that problem with quote feature and order of filters is now resolved, and should posse no further problems.

Plugin documenation has been expanded with many new pages in user guide, and this will be expanded further as needed. Reference guide will get more entries too very soon.

As usual, if you find any issues with the new version, use the forums to report it, and include as much information as you can.
