For the past few years, plugin icons have changed a few times, but they never looked quite good or how I wanted them to look. So, in the past few weeks, I dedicated time to carefully constructing (almost) all the new plugin icons.
In the past two years, the Dev4Press plugin got some nicely designed icons for DebugPress, DemoPress, and SweepPress. Compared to these, old icons were looking underwhelming. One of the goals for this year on Dev4Press was to design new icons for all the plugins, to reflect the plugin purpose better, and to make them look similar.
For now, all but 3 icons have been redesigned, and one icon has been updated. I am still going back and forth with redesigning GD Rating System, BreadcrumbsPress, and GD Content Tools icons because I like them as they currently are. But it is possible that I will change my mind and create new icons for these later this year. All bbPress-related plugin icons now use the hexagon as a basis. GD bbPress Toolbox has remained as it was before, with some minor styling changes to make it a bit better. I like this icon a lot, and will not be changed to look like other icons. Some of the icons have color versions, and it is possible that some other icons will be enhanced with color versions in the future.
Starting today, the Dev4Press website will use new icons, and next week Dev4Press Updater plugin will also be updated to use new icons. WordPress.org Free/Lite icons have also been updated, and they are using new icons.
